For this purpose, the Pypes Catted X-Pipe with Metallic Catalytic Converters is one of your best options. This X-pipe combines free-flowing pipes rendered in a specially designed X configuration that works to maximize exhaust gas scavenging. The result is faster exit of exhaust gases, improving horsepower particularly towards the top of the power band. This extra power can certainly prove useful if your vehicle spends its weekends on the track.
Added Fierceness. This catted X-pipe also offers the added benefit of making your vehicle sound much fiercer. Specifically, this X-pipe transforms your already impressive stock sound into a raspy, guttural roar that’s sure to make your fellow motorists stand out and take notice. What’s more, your new exhaust sounds relatively mellow from inside your cabin, so you can take your drives in relative peace.
High-Flow Catalytic Converters Included. This X-pipe is designed to replace your vehicle’s more restrictive stock cats with a pair of high-flow catalytic converters. These cats are designed to complement the X-pipes by encouraging higher exhaust gas velocity. Moreover, these cats feature a unique metallic substrate that works to maintain emission levels at acceptable rates.
Hefty Build Quality. This catted X-pipe is manufactured from high-grade tubular 409 stainless steel measuring 2.50 inches wide, offering superior durability and corrosion resistance. These stainless steel tubes are then mandrel-bent and expertly welded, increasing rigidity and ensuring a turbulence-free inner structure for maximum flow. Likewise, the included catalytic converters are machine-formed, offering a precise fit with the rest of the system when installed.
Application. The Pypes Catted X-Pipe with Metallic Catalytic Converters fits all 2005-2010 Ford Mustang GT models.
Application Note. It is advisable to have your ECU re-tuned after installing this Pypes Catted X-Pipe with Metallic Catalytic Converters, as replacing your factory cats can result in a check engine light.
